Quantitative imaging biomarkers (QIB) are physical measurands assessed with clinical imaging techniques. They allow for more robust longitudinal assessments due to higher confidence in bias and precision, increased harmonization of image acquisition, and improved powering of endpoints. Validated QIBs can be acquired using standardized technical specifications, found in QIB guidelines.
